As REED Turkey, we are looking for a "Technical Manager/Specialist" with below requirements for our client.
Qualifications
• Degree in Chemistry, Textile Engineering or Chemical Process Technology
• Min. 3-5 years' experience in textile mills or formulators
• Fluency in English.
• Readiness to travel
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Target oriented and persistent
• Self-motivated and customer orientated
• Ability to work in an international team and to handle an organizational matrix structure
• Ability to structure his/her work independently.
• Experience in ISO 9001 and EH&S applications
• Technical service to customers of the Market Segment Textiles within the area of Turkey and EMEA.
• Supporting customers in the best use company’s products
• Cooperation with the Technical Team in Turkey and Germany for the improvement and development of company offerings in the market
• Communicating technical market trends and customer needs.
• Laboratory operations and documentation comply with company as well as localized Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Standards & legislations and ISO 9001 Standards with the support of EHS responsible in Turkey.
Job Description
• Supports the business team(s)/line(s) in their strategic push to introduce new offerings in the market.
• Travels through Turkey and Middle East (mainly Pakistan) to support customers technically in cooperation with WACKER Middle East office in case he/she travels in that region.
• Based on the local needs, develops products and provides sales tools (e.g. samples of formulated products, formulation guidelines, treated fabric samples) for the customers and the sales team
• Supports customers in terms of formulation development, right usage of company product portfolio based on customer needs, testing of customers’ samples, etc.
• Conducts performance tests on the customer samples according to the required test standarts and supports yje business team for the required internal testing and formulations.
• Plans and conducts “road shows” for specific target groups (e.g. formulators, opinion leaders, textile mills)
• Supports to conducts trainings for company staff, distributors as well as customers in line with the business team(s)/line(s) and market needs.
• Ensures that the Lab is operated in line with company quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of company.
• Overall responsible that all equipment is in good condition (maintenance) and is calibrated according to standards and SOP.
• Responsible for all ISO 9001 Standards, EH&S topics and guarantees that the Laboratory is run according to company as well as local EH&S regulations with the support of the EHS responsible in Turkey.
• Ensures a frequent exchange of information on customer developments and projects, technology trends within the technical team locally as well internationally.
• Prepares test results and reports using worksheets.
