As Reed Turkey, we are looking for a "EHS Engineer (Environment)" with below requirements for our client operating in Tobacco sector, which is located in Izmir, Turkey.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering (preferably from Environmental Engineering)
- Minimum 2 years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing environment will be advantage
- Environment and Risk Assessment knowledge
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs
- Advanced level of English
Job Description:
- Responsible for initiating/supporting implementation of Environment related projects on site and actively takes part in cross functional projects and ensures Environment aspects of the projects are in line with global and local EHS standards.
- Check EHS aspects of the works in line with IWS, identify the hazards, assess the risks and ensure that control measures are implemented in order to maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all the employees by taking into account the legislative, industry and Global EHS requirements.
- Actively participate in implementation of global EHS strategy, standards, objectives, programs and local EHS programs in the organization to contribute; creating safe work place & safety culture in the organization.
- Prepare and follow up the global/local monthly Environment reports, legally required reports and coordinate with the related departments. Monitor the deadlines of legal permissions' and prepare the renewal applications.
- Ensure Operating and Capital Expenditures are in line with Annual Strategic Plan.
- Develop & conduct environment trainings & orientation programs for the employees, contractor, trainees and ensure the Environment standards are properly implemented.
- Maintain Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001 standards to retain certification.
