This role is initially due to run up to the end of July and will offer the successful candidate the chance to be involved in a wide range of research and analytical duties within a fundraising environment.

The role will have involvement in;

* Undertaking qualitative and quantitative data and trend analysis and research to
support the strategy and planning of key fundraising programmes.
* Dealing with Production and export queries as well as merge and manipulate data using
different tools to support colleagues in their data needs
* Undertake a data integrity programme that identifies issues and gaps in data, quality
and content
* Continually seek to improve team and office efficiencies through automation and tools
that facilitate end user access to analytical information and trend analyses.
* Translate data visually into geographical formats and utilise innovative techniques to
convert statistics
* Ensure that all information and results from analysis is synthesised and disseminated
succinctly and to maximum impact to its target audience by synthesizing disparate parts
of data into a cohesive story and through the use of written reports, maps, charts,
graphs and presentations.
* Compose supporting documents and summaries that are accessible and concise for
use by the executive management team.
* Experience of using sophisticated relationship management software including the
ability to design, build and deliver management information reports.
* Excellent IT skills including extensive use of Excel, Access and proficiency with word
processing, spreadsheet and presentation software programmes.
* Excellent report-writing abilities in order to write succinctly and present statistical
information clearly and logically to senior members of the University and alumni to use
in order to develop strategic thinking.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent interpersonal skills
are needed along with the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels. In addition,
the role holder must be capable of handling sensitive and confidential information on
alumni and others tactfully, and to elicit information in a discreet and professional
manner from external organisations.
* Highly organised and have advanced critical thinking skills to think laterally and carry
out a number of tasks with speed and accuracy. This requires the ability to juggle
streams of information and input from others against tight deadlines with good attention
to detail.
