My client a boutique consultancy firm based in Central London are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. The role and duties are listed below:
The company has multiple entities so the role would be varied and suit someone who wants a challenge.
Supervising the maintenance of the accounting books & records and reporting, this includes:
a. Maintenance of the accounting records (Purchase, sales and general ledgers) using Sage.
b. Production of quarterly management accounts and forecasts together with commentary.
c. Preparation of annual budget.
d. Preparation of annual accounts in draft form along with supporting documentation ready for audit.
e. Managing the treasury function to ensure best use of cash is made.
f. Review and submission of VAT return.
Supervising the payroll for:
a. 4 operating entities (currently 30 employees)
b. 2 family member’s households.
c. Charitable Trust - supervising the maintenance of the accounting books & records and related reporting, this includes:
a. Maintenance of the accounting records using Sage.
b. Review of grant applications and preparation of a review summary in Excel.
c. Preparation of annual accounts and a supporting file ready for audit.
d. Gift Aid reclaim submission.
e. Quarterly cash flow projections
a. Maintenance of cash book.
b. Monitoring of Funds at Lloyds
c. Monitoring open years of account profitability.
d. Managing liquidity and conversion of profits from foreign currencies to GBP.
e. Liaising with Agents/Accountants to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
a. Supervision of maintenance of accounting records on Sage.
b. Preparation of annual accounts (unaudited)
c. Preparation of ad hoc reports.
Supporting corporate clients:
a. Production of Quarterly management accounts.
b. Assist with Audit, queries, etc.
c. Releasing of large payments.
d. Payment and interest notices. Assist with bank account opening, queries, etc
e. Assist with KYC when needed.
Supporting Private wealth clients:
a. Assist with the production of the data for inclusion in three family tax returns for submission to tax advisors. This will include the calculation of optimal gift aid payments.

Banking –maintenance of relationship with Banks and checking of quarterly fees
Overseeing two members of staff
The ideal candidate will be ACCA or ACA finalist or part qualified
Experience of accounting using IFRS
Hands on experience of Sage professional
Good knowledge of office products
